Aesthetics

The arts are a journey of discovery, growth, and expression. Through a rich Aesthetics Programme spanning music, dance, and visual arts, students uncover their unique strengths and develop confidence, resilience, and a deeper appreciation of diverse cultures. Beyond the classroom, students bring their talents to life through school events, competitions, and external showcases.

Character and Citizenship Education

At our school, Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) nurtures students to become Caring Citizens of Good Character through a holistic approach centred on Identity, Relationships and Choices. Through programmes such as CCE FTGP, CCE (MTL), National Education and Values in Action (VIA), students develop strong values, resilience, empathy, and a heart to contribute meaningfully to their school, community and nation.

English Department

The English Language curriculum at our school aims to nurture confident communicators, critical thinkers and self-directed learners through meaningful and engaging learning experiences. By learning drama, exploratory talk, multiliteracies, reading and digital learning experiences, students develop strong language skills while growing in confidence, creativity, and collaboration.

Information and Communication Technology

Our school equips students with essential digital skills through structured ICT lessons and Cyberwellness education from Primary 1 to 6. The page presents the ICT Curriculum and Cyberwellness Programme tables, supported by photos of school activities and outreach programmes.

Mathematics Department

We believe that every Bukit Viewan wants to and can learn Mathematics. Aligned with our school vision, the Mathematics Department aims to create a vibrant community of self-directed learners who not only acquire basic numeracy, but also enhance critical mathematical processes that support the development of 21st century competencies.

Mother Tongue Languages

The Mother Tongue Languages Department provides students with rich and authentic learning experiences that nurture confident users of their Mother Tongue and deepen their appreciation of language and culture. Through enrichment programmes, reading initiatives, learning journeys, and cross-cultural exchanges, students experience their Mother Tongue as a living language while developing communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence as lifelong learners.

Physical Education

The purpose of Physical Education (PE) at our school enables students to demonstrate individually and with others the physical skills, practices, and values to enjoy a lifetime of active, healthy living. Students will experience a wide variety of activities, and it includes camping, dancing, gymnastics, physical sports gameplay, outdoor education, swimming and track-and-field.

Science Department

Science at our school begins with a child's natural curiosity which grows into disciplined, evidence-based thinking — through hands-on inquiry, real-world problem solving, and programmes that support every learner.
